Fair Housing (FH) Training

Purpose:

To offer a variety of comprehensive, interactive training programs to assist housing providers in complying with Federal and Texas Fair Housing Acts or Laws. This training is designed to provide an overview on the Texas Fair Housing Act (Texas Property Code Chapter 301) and pertinent Federal Law.

Topics:

The training covers the following legal issues -

  • Federal and Local agencies / TWC CRD Relationships
  • Federal and State Housing Discrimination Laws
  • Complainant Procedures
  • Unlawful Housing Practices
  • Exemptions
  • Design and Construction
  • Sexual Harassment (Housing)
  • Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities in Housing

Where Are Our Trainings?

We provide the training at requestors site a minimum cost. The length of the training is four hours in length depending on the training program to be delivered. This means it can be extended to eight hours as well.
