Texas Child Care Market Rate SurveyOn an annual basis, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) contracts with the Center for Social Work Research in partnership with the Ray Marshall Center to conduct the Texas Child Care Market Rate Survey. The survey results include market rate analyses for the state as a whole and for each of the 28 local workforce development areas (workforce areas). From a list of 16,895 facilities provided by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in April 2010, a total of 2,866 facilities were surveyed between June and December 2011. Facilities surveyed included 1,662 licensed child care centers, 469 licensed child care homes, and 735 registered family homes throughout the 28 workforce areas. |
