The employer commissioner's office represents the Texas business community, furnishing a wide variety of services to employers including informational materials, employment law seminars, an 800 number and a quarterly newsletter.
Employers may contact the employer commissioner's office for information, advocacy and assistance with unemployment compensation and wage claim cases, and other workplace concerns such as employee policy issues. The employer commissioner's staff includes four attorneys who are available to answer your questions.
The Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers sponsors the Texas Business Conferences, a series of employer seminars around the state. Employers are encouraged to attend one of these seminars in order to learn about state and federal employment laws and the unemployment claim and appeals process.
