Liz Geise has been named administrator of the Texas Governor's Mansion, where she will be responsible for the operation, use and maintenance of the Governor's Mansion and surrounding grounds. The mansion administrator works closely with the governor and first lady, and also coordinates with the State Preservation Board, Texas Historical Commission and Friends of the Texas Governor's Mansion to preserve the property. The mansion has served as the official residence for Texas governors and their families since 1856, is the fourth oldest continuously occupied governor's residence in the U.S., and the oldest governor's mansion west of the Mississippi River. - Feb 01, 2012 - Gov. Gov. Perry Announces Increased Reward Funding for Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders Program
Gov. Rick Perry today announced that the Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD) is providing additional funding for Texas Crime Stoppers and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to increase rewards for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders program to $2,000, with some rewards reaching up to $5,000.
