Access QuickFile Help
Access the QuickFile User's Guide for help with QuickFile. The user's guide provides step-by-step information on installing QuickFile, validating payroll file format, sending the file, checking the report status and paying unemployment tax. The QuickFile User's Guide is also available within the QuickFile wage reporting program.
Important Information
The download and installation of QuickFile will vary depending upon the speed of the Internet connection and the computer's processor speed.
Transmission time will depend upon the size of the file (number of employees) and the speed of the Internet connection of the user's computer.
Once the program is downloaded and installed, validation of the format file and transmission to TWC should be completed in a matter of minutes. This assumes that the validation process does not identify critical errors in the data that prevent transmission to TWC.
Directions to Set Up QuickFile
If you have a high-speed connection, you may choose 'Run this program from its current location'. The QuickFile installation will automatically start and install the program in the directory of your choice. The default directory is: "C:\QuickFile\". Download and install time is generally under a minute.
If you do not have a high-speed connection, you may want to download QuickFile to the Desktop of your PC, then follow the instructions in "Installing QuickFile" of the QuickFile User's Guide to start the program.
