The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) works with colleges to expand dual credit and career and technical education programs.

About Dual Credit Programs

Dual credit and technical education programs help fill a need for skilled workers in technical fields. The program aims to meet local industry demands through the provision of joint credit courses. High school students can enroll in postsecondary classes, while completing high school coursework. Students can earn credits toward a degree or credential while still in school. Grantees are able to use Skills Development Funds to purchase equipment to enhance their career and technical education (CTE) programs.
